Festival of Britain 'Production Line' Film/Installation

Role: Direction and Production

We were commissioned by Black Country Atelier to produce a short film focusing on industry in Britain for the Festival of Britain, to be projected on an exterior stair case of the Southbank Centre London. The film was shot across three industrial sites in the British Midlands, Blists Hill Iron Foundry, Lost Wax Casting, and RepRap.

These locations correspondingly represented the past, present and future of industry in Britain, with Adrian Bowyer of RepRap introducing the notion of the production line moving from centralised industrial locations to become localised within the home of the general public.
